About Us
Ownership
Cerece’s African
American Christmas Shoppe is a privately
held partnership consisting of 3 principles,
Cerece L. Claiborne, George L. Meade, Jr.
and Ray C. Hickson. All three principles
have managerial and business expertise and
skills, which make up a unique
partnership.
History
While on vacation, Cerece
attempted to buy her mom, whom is an avid
collector of Black Angels and other African
American products, a Christmas present.
After searching various Christmas shops
she was disappointed with the lack of
availability of African American Christmas
and Christian products.
She continued her search by browsing the
internet. Cerece Claiborne soon conceived
the idea of an African American Christmas
Shoppe in December 2006. She then discussed
this new business venture with her business
partners. It soon became evident that this
was a niche market that definitely needed to
be filled.
Cerece’s African American
Christmas Shoppe was founded based on the
need for African American Christmas
products, which
represents a unique business opportunity as
a high-energy Christmas Shoppe at the Inner
Harborplace, Baltimore, MD. The demographics
and lack of direct competition are major
advantages for this business venture in the
downtown area. The Shoppe will sell all
African American Christmas and
Christian
products consisting of ornaments, black
angels, gift bags, wrapping paper, table
runners, Kwanzaa products etc.
The hours of operation will be Monday
–Saturday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and
Sundays from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. |
